KSETA is now opening applications for PhD positions which will commence in July 2016 or later. The PhD program leads to the degree in Physics, Informatics or an Engineering discipline.

KSETA offers:

  • Exciting interdisciplinary research atmosphere in fields related to cosmic radiation, dark matter, quantum field theory, experimental and theoretical collider physics, experimental and theoretical flavor physics, neutrino physics and computational physics.
  • Advancement of recent technologies necessary for the fields such as superconducting terahertz detectors, analogue and digital electronics, optical transmission technology and parallel signal processing on GPUs.
  • The school is contributing to the key components to large-scale research projects such as AMS, Auger, Belle, CMS, EDELWEISS, JEM-EUSO and KATRIN, as well as the German Tier-1 center GridKa.

Having more than 400 scientists, KCETA bundles the investigate activities of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in theoretical and experimental elementary particle and astro-particle physics and is one of Europe’s foremost institutions in these fields.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master’s or Diploma degree in Physics, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or other related discipline.
  • Register yourself at http://www.kseta.kit.edu/application.php.
