 Overview

The LMU Research Fellowships support the career development of outstanding postdocs from all fields of research.

Till now a total of 66 fellowships have been awarded to highly qualified candidates from all over the world and from various disciplines – 38 from the Humanities and Social Sciences, 28 from the Natural Sciences and Medicine. 67% of the fellows have come from renowned institutions abroad.

The LMU Research Fellowships support the career development of outstanding postdocs from all fields of research. You will benefit from:

 Required Qualifications / Eligibility

  1. PhD completed within the last year.
  2. National or long-term resident of an EU.
  3. Member State or Associated Country.
  4. PhD completed within the last three years.
  5. Have not lived in Germany for >One year in the last three years.

Fellowships: We will award ten Incoming and five Outgoing LMU Research Fellowships to outstanding early career researchers from all fields of research. Applications can be submitted online at any time until closing date on 12 November 2019.

These Fellowship term must commence between July and September 2020.
