Research proposal

During applicaton for a research degree, you will be required to submit your proposed area of research.

An initial research proposal should be of approximately 500 words, including –

• Outline of your research interests,
• Your initial thoughts about a topic (Introduction),
• References to previous work,
• Methodology and approach to the work.

If you have already contacted with your prospective school or department about a particular research topic, or you are applying for a specific open vacancy, you only need to provide brief details of that project work on your application form.
