The Mathematic Science Foundation of Paris is inviting applications for the International Doctoral Training in Mathematical Sciences in Paris – MathInParis – Cofunded by Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions offers 21 PhD fellowships within the framework of the European Horizon 2020 program “Marie Sklodowska-Curie Co-funding of Regional, National and International Programmes”.
Eligibility:
- All candidates must have a Master degree (or equivalent) at the time of their enrollment and should speak French or English.
- There is no nationality or age criteria
- Applicant must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in France for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the deadline of the call (April, 1st of 2019).
- At the time of the call deadline (April, 1st 2019), all applicants must be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research career and have not been awarded of a doctoral degree.

This is a 2-phase call for application:
- First phase: Submission of all applications. Following documents to be uploaded:
- CV
- Cover letter,
- Master certificate, diplomas or grades of M1/M2.
- Applicants will also have to fill the name and e-mail of the future thesis advisor. He/She’ll receive an automatic email to upload some documents. Applicants must be sure the advisor is a FSMP laboratory member and they have to choose the corresponding laboratory and doctoral school (list of FSMP laboratories).
- Second phase: For pre-selected applicants only (will have to upload ):
- A detailed scientific project including: goals, methods and timeline. This document must be signed by the thesis advisor,
- An ethical issues questionnaire (download the document here),
- Documents proving each eligibility criterion are respected (copies of previous employments, university grades, utility bills, entry/exist stamps in passport, etc.) If not provided, application will be automatically rejected.
- Candidates will also need to request via the online form the following recommendations from qualified professionals who will then submit letters online (a direct link will be sent to them via an automatic email) : a letter from the doctoral school director and the laboratory director.
