Max Planck Institute for Physics: Postdoc position Astroparticle Physics 1772 views

Max Planck Institute for Physics invites applications for postdoctoral position in Astroparticle Physics. The research institute focusing on particle and astroparticle physics from experimental and theoretical perspectives.

The project is under the frame of the Horizon 2020 EU program, together with the University of Geneva and led by DESY, application are invited under the name SENSE, for outlining a roadmap for the ideal low light level sensor development.

Eligibility:

  • Applicant is expected to have experience and experimental skills in working with photo sensors, such as the classical photo multiplier tubes and the SiPM.
  • Applicants with experience in semiconductor physics, linked to photo sensors like APD and SiPM as well as to photo cathode materials would have an advantage.
  • Successful candidate is supposed to make significant contributions to the SENSE project.

Salary: Salary and benefits are according to the German public service pay scale (TVöD Bund).

Duration: contract is limited to 2 years
