Media@McGill is a nucleus of interdisciplinary research, scholarship and public outreach on issues in media, technology and culture, located in the Department of Art History and Communication Studies at McGill University. Media@McGill is a residential postdoctoral fellowship programme. The 2017-2018 fellowship is dedicated to the theme of “Migrant Media.”

Benefits:
- Fellows are provided with a workspace, and are expected to take an active role in the research activities and academic life of Media@McGill (participation in conferences, seminars, etc.).
- They may also have the possibility of teaching a course within the Department of Art History and Communication Studies at McGill.
Fellowship Value:
- Stipend: $45,000 CAD for 12 months including travel research stipend
Starting date: September 2017
Eligibility:
- The Postdoctoral Fellowship is open to both national and international scholars.
- Applicant must have completed PhD degree in a university other than McGill not earlier than June 1, 2013.
- Applicant must have defended their dissertation and received their Doctorate by May 1, 2017.
- Applicant must be fluent in English; working knowledge of French is an asset.

- Cover letter describing how their research is related to Media@McGill’s mission statement and Media@McGill’s 2017-18 theme.
- Applicants must also identify a potential faculty supervisor from Department of Art History and Communication Studies, who is a member of Media@McGill and whose research is closely tied to that of the applicant.
