Microbial Evolution and Synthetic Biology has an open position for PhD student at an international research center, The Novo Nordisk Foundation for Biosustainability, (Technical University of Denmark) the group leader is Morten Nørholm.
Responsibilities and tasks involved:
- Successful candidate will be working on synthetic biology approaches for studying molecular evolution and essential genes in bacteria.
- The position is part of a team of scientists working with synthetic biology, protein production and molecular evolution.
Qualifications
- Applicant must have a master’s degree in engineering or a similar subject with an academic level equivalent to the master’s degree in engineering.
- Preference will be given to candidates with master’s degrees in synthetic biology or related discipline.
- Applicant having experience in state-of-the-art bacterial genome engineering technologies such as MAGE and CRISPR is considered an advantage.
