Associate Professor is required to work in the area of microbial food safety and antimicrobial resistance at the National Food Institute (DTU Food). The candidate will be part of the faculty at the institute and will take part in the development and coordination of teaching and more specifically be involved in teaching in molecular and food microbiology.
Responsibilities and tasks
- transmission of antibiotic resistance in the meat processing chain
- developing quantification methods to determine the resistance gene pools in meat
- to study the transfer of resistance genes among the bacterial background flora in meat
- developing food model and infection models systems in the group
Qualifications
- Applicant must hold a doctoral degree or similar.
- Applicant for a position as associate professor must have experience at least as Assistant Professor/Researcher/Postdoc or similar qualifications.
- Didactic/pedagogic training

- scientific production and research potential at an international level
- the capability to promote and utilize research results
- an all-round experience basis, if possible including international experience
- the aptitude to contribute to development of the department’s internal and external cooperation
Location:
- DTU Food at the DTU campus in Mørkhøj
- Starting from 2017 at the main DTU campus in Lyngby, Denmark.
