Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position is available in Molecular and Cellular Biology of Cancer at Department of Biosciences. The position is funded by the Norwegian Cancer Society and connected with the Section for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Within the framework of the position duties may be assigned. The postdoc will study the molecular biology of androgen action and mechanisms of prostate cancer in a stimulating research environment

Duration: The fellowship period is 3 years.

Start date: Estimated starting date December 1st 2016.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants are expected to be in the upper segment of their class with respect to academic credentials.
  • Applicant must hold Doctorate or expected to complete it by 01 Dec 2016 or other corresponding education equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in biological or basic medical sciences.
  • Applicant must have some experience with molecular, cell biological, and physiological characterization of crosstalk between signaling pathways
  • Applicant must be highly motivated; must possess strong communication skills; must be able to work independently as well as collaborate in research teams.
  • Applicant must have good command of English.

Salary: NOK 486 100–567 100/year; depending on qualifications and seniority.
