MPI for Dynamics and Self-Organization: PhD position; Theoretical Biological Physics 1261 views

The Max Planck Institute (MPI) for Dynamics and Self-Organization invites applications for a PhD position in Theoretical Biological Physics. This institute is an international research institute, performs both experimental and theoretical fundamental scientific research. The position is available in independent research group of Dr. Karen Aim.

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must hold Master’s degree (or comparable) in physics, applied mathematics, or in a related field.
  • Applicant must have a background in quantitative biology, soft matter or statistical physics. Programming skills are highly desired.

Duration: limited to 3 years.

Starting date: September 1, 2017

Salary: in accordance with the funding guidelines of the Max Planck Society for junior scientists, salary is 2/3 of pay level E13 according to the collective wage agreement for the public service (TVöD Bund).
