The Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics invites applications for a PhD student in the research group of Prof. Stefan Mundlos. The open position is in pathogenic chromatin architecture and gene regulation. Highly motivated and enthusiastic young researcher to study the mechanisms of how the genomes 3D organization in the nucleus influences gene expression in development and human disease are desirable.
Requirements:
- Applicant must have an experimental background in molecular biology and/or functional genomics
- Applicant must hold a Master’s degree or a similar qualification in Biology, Biochemistry or related fields.
- Applicants having previous experience with mammalian stem cells and knowledge of computational biology would hold an advantage.
Duration: initially for 3 years; with possibility of extension
Starting date: available as of now but starting dates are negotiable.
