Overview
Multiple postdoc positions in biomaterials and tissue engineering are available in the Lee Group at the University of California, School of Dentistry.
The positions are for several ongoing multi-year projects supported by NIH and DoD focused on developing new biomaterials & molecular therapeutic strategies to repair craniofacial and orthopedic skeletal defects.
The selected candidate will receive training in the interdisciplinary area of tissue engineering by interacting with a multidisciplinary team of investigators that brings expertise in the field of biomedical engineering, polymer chemistry, bone biology, and animal surgery.
Qualifications / Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in one of two (02) areas:
- Biomaterial synthesis & drug delivery: Ph.D. in chemistry, biomedical engineering, materials science or related field with experience in polymer design and synthesis or nanoparticle synthesis/characterization
- Stem cell biology & bone regeneration: Ph.D. in biology, biomedical sciences or related field with experience in cell culture, molecular biology techniques, gene therapy, or tissue engineering
Application Procedure:
Contact: Dr Min Lee
Interested candidates should send the following in a single PDF:
- Cover letter describing research experience and future goals,
