Myanmar Scholarship: The University of Huddersfield Business School and School of Computing and Engineering are pleased to invite applications for the Myanmar Scholarship.

Four 50% tuition fee scholarships are available for self-funded students undertaking a full-time taught Master’s or Bachelor Top Up starting in January 2018 or September 2018.

Key Features about the fellowship:

Eligibility and general requirements-

  • Applicants must have already applied to the University of Huddersfield and received an offer of a place on a full-time taught Master’s or Bachelor Top Up in the Business School or School of Computing and Engineering.
  • Applicants who are in receipt of any donor funding or government/company sponsorships will not be eligible for this scholarship.
  • The scholarship scheme is competitive and all applications will be considered on merit.
  • Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic performance, which they are able to evidence within their course application. The University reserves the right to request further evidence where necessary.
  • Applicants must have a formal qualification in English language (i.e. IELTS, TOEFL or other acceptable measure) which meets the University’s and the course entry requirements. This will normally be IELTS 6.0 or an acceptable equivalent test with no lower than 5.5 in any single band.
  • The submission of falsified or counterfeit documents will disqualify the applicant from consideration. Personal statements which are found to be plagiarised or copied will also result in disqualification.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • The decision of the awarding panel is final. We regret that we are unable to enter into correspondence relating to unsuccessful applications.

Application procedure

  • To apply for this scholarship you will need:
  • A copy of the University offer letter indicating that you have been offered a place on a full-time Master’s or Bachelor Top Up in the Business School or School of Computing and Engineering starting in January 2016 or September 2016.
  • A copy of your curriculum vitae.
  • To supply an application letter indicating why you should be awarded a scholarship. Indicate how obtaining the Master’s degree will contribute to your own ambitions and the social or economic development of your country.
  • A reference from your last place of study confirming that you have achieved the qualifications identified in your curriculum vitae.

Deadlines

  • The deadline for submission of January applications: 1 November. 
  • The deadline for submission of September applications: 31 May.
