National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) is now accepting online applications for faculty positions. Centre is keen to consider applications from candidates with proven excellence in their field of research for faculty positions. Applications will be accepted throughout the year.
Requirements:
- For Assistant Professor level position: 0-3 years of postdoctoral experience
- For a Reader (Senior Assistant Professor) level position: 5-6 years of postdoctoral experience
- Senior independent investigators may be considered for positions at the Associate Professor or Professor level.

- CV with a list of publications
- Summary of research accomplishments (1-2 page)
- Applicant may upload PDFs of recent research papers to accompany application.
- Research proposal describing plans for future research over a 5-10 year period (3-5 page)
- Names and addresses (including email) of 8 referees who can comment on applicant’s application and on abilities.
Note:
- Shortlisted candidates will not have to undergo a formal interview.
- Candidates will be invited to give a research seminar and thereafter talk to all faculty members individually.
