National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) invites application for various positions of Senior R&D Engineer (Project) in various funded projects. The Positions are available in Prof. Pravat K. Mandal’s lab.

Senior R&D Engineer (Project)

Last date: 29th May 2017.

No. of Post: 01 (One)

Emoluments: 35,000/- p.m. (consolidated) (No other allowances are applicable).

Essential qualification:

  • M.Tech. / ME (Engineering).
  • Minimum 60% marks from matriculation onwards.

Age Limit: not to exceed 35 years of age as on the closing date for receipt of application.

Duration: Appointment will be upto 19th December, 2017 only.

Research Scientist (Project): DBT funded project

Emoluments: 49,950/- p.m. (consolidated) (No other allowances are applicable).

Essential qualification:

  • M.Tech. / ME (with four years’ research experience) or PhD in Engineering/Science.
  • Minimum 60% marks from matriculation onwards.
  • Minimum two published paper in Indexed journal

Age Limit: upper age limit shall be 35 years as on the closing date for receipt of application.

R&D Engineer (Project): DBT funded project

Essential qualification:

  • B.Tech. / B.E. (Electrical / Electronic).
  • Minimum 60% marks from matriculation onwards.

Age Limit: upper age limit shall be 30 years as on the closing date for receipt of application.

R&D Scientist (Project): DBT funded project

Essential qualification:

  • Masters in Engineering (minimum one-year research experience) /PhD in Science.
  • Minimum 60% marks from matriculation onwards.

Desirable qualifications/ Experience

  • Research experience in the area of EEG / MEG signal processing.
  • Experience with data analysis tools viz., MATLAB, IDL and R software.
  • Registration of images from various imaging modalities.
  • Ability to multitask, effective project leadership and management.
  • Knowledge and experience with Neuroimaging and MR Spectroscopy will be added advantage.
  • Excellent scientific communication and writing skills. Experience with writing scientific manuscripts is essential.

Research Scientist (Project): DeitY funded project

Emoluments: 57,000/- p.m. (consolidated) (No other allowances are applicable).

Essential qualification:

  • M.Tech./ M.E. (with four years’ research experience) or PhD in Engineering/Science.
  • minimum 60% marks from matriculation onwards.
  • Minimum two published paper in Indexed journal
  • Knowledge of medical image processing, image transformation, registration and segmentation.

Age Limit: upper age limit shall be 35 years

Mandatory requirement for all positions:

  • Statement of Purpose (SOP) (minimum 500 words) indicating his/her experience/expertise and M. Tech. / M.E. project.
  • Candidate should indicate how his / her experience / expertise will help ongoing research activities of the Neuroimaging and Neurospectroscopy laboratory.
  • Candidate with SOP as well as expertise relevant to lab requirement will be shortlisted.
