NBRC (National Brain Research Centre) invites applications from qualified and talented doctorate degree holders with ability to carry out Neuroscience Research independently.
Tenure: 3 years (subject to yearly evaluation extendable year after year).
Eligibility:
- Applicant must hold Doctorate degree in any branch of science /Engineering / Maths / Physics / Chemistry / Psychology with interest in Brain Research.
- Applicant must be below 35 years of age and can be of any nationality; women candidates are given relaxation upto 5 years in age.
Fellowship value: 35000/- per month (consolidated emoluments).
Requirements:
- The research proposal must describe the research applicant would like to undertake and the facilities required.
- Applicant may identify a faculty member or a research group at NBRC with whom they would like to be associated during their tenure.
- Those who would like to work in inter-disciplinary areas can identify more than one faculty member.

- Applications may be submitted at any time.
- Applicants will be informed about the decision on their application within 3 months, from the date of receipt of their applications.
- Following information is required along with application form:
- Research proposal (2500-word); research proposal must describe the research they would like to undertake and the facilities required.
- Applicant must arrange 3 referees to send their confidential evaluation directly to rscientist@nbrc.res.in
- Applications forms are available with the Registrar, NBRC and can be collected in person or obtained through post by sending a demand draft of 50/-(non-refundable) in favour of Director, NBRC payable at Manesar/Gurgaon.
- Completed application forms in the prescribed format may be sent by post along with photocopies of all qualification / experience certificates / Synopsis / Research Proposal / List of Publications, two recent signed passport size photographs and Demand Draft of ₹.500/- [non-refundable( no fees in case of SC / ST candidates)] in favour of Director, NBRC payable at Manesar/Gurgaon should be sent to the Registrar, National Brain Research Centre, NH-8, Manesar – 122 051, Haryana with the subject line clearly stating ‘Application for Research Scientist’.
