NCTU Scholarships for Fully Funded BS, MS, PhD at the National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan.

The National Chiao Tung University (NCTU) is one of the Top Leading Public University in Taiwan. According to the World QS Ranking. it is one of Taiwan’s leading Universities.

Types od fellowships-

Type I: For Bachelor Students:

  1. Monthly Stipend up to NT$21,000 (US$700) per month and/or Tuition waiver. 

Type II: For Master Students:

  1. University Tuition fees Waivers
  2. Monthly stipend NT$22,000 (US$733) per month
  3. Assistantship Will also Offers to Master Students By Advisor For Research Work. 

Type III: For Ph.D. Students:

  1. Waivers of tuition fees
  2. Monthly stipend NT$29,000 (US$966) per month
  3. Ph.D. Students will also get Assistantship By Advisor for Research Work.

NCTU Taiwan Scholarship – MOE, MOFA, MOST scholarship (For BS, MS, PhD)

This scholarship is provided by the Taiwan government (the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Technology).

Ministry of Foreign Affairs Taiwan Scholarship: (MOFA)

  • Monthly Stipend: NT$30,000
  • One Direct Round-Trip Economy-Class Ticket

Ministry of Education: MOE Taiwan Scholarship

  • Waiver of tuition and certain fees
  • Recipients can only study at universities participating in the Taiwan Scholarship Program Union
  • Mainly for recipients from eligible countries designated by the MOE.

Qualifications / Eligibility Criteria

All the Candidates must follow the Eligibility Criteria in order to apply for the National Chiao Tung University:

  1. Applicants must be an International Student from any country other than Taiwan.
  2. Applicants must be healthy both physically and mentally.
  3. Applicants may not be recipients of any other scholarships at the same time.
  4. Applicants should fill out the application form correctly, honestly, completely, and submit application materials as required by the university.
  5. Applicants with a high school degree are eligible to apply for Bachelors’s Degree programs.
  6. Applicants with an undergraduate/bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for Master’s Degree programs.
  1. Applicants with a master’s degree are eligible to apply for Ph.D./Doctoral Degree programs.

  2. The Highest Degree Diplomaverified with official stamps.
  3. The highest degree Transcript
  4. Two recommendation letters
  5. Passport
  6. Study plan: The study plan can be written in English or Chinese.
  7. English Proficiency Certificate: If the previous degree is all English-taught courses, applicants may ask the university/department/advisor to issue the official statement that ” the medium of instruction is English at this institute.”
  8. Academic thesis or relevant publications (for Ph.D. program applicants).
