NICPR – ICMR: Scientists Positions (Life sciences) – Applications are invited for the following positions at the National Institute of Cancer Prevention & Research, Noida as per pay scales given against each plus usual allowances as admissible as per Government norms.

Position 1: Scientist D    (Molecular Biology) – One post
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.7600 (6* CPC)
Essential Qualification and Experience:

  1. First Class Master’s degree in Molecular Biology/Microbiology from a recognised University,
  2. Eight 8 years R&D/Teaching Experience in relevant subjects after Is1 class Master’s Degree.

OR

  1. 2nd Class M.Sc + Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology from a recognized University, with 8 years R&D/Teaching Experience in relevant subjects after M.Sc. + Ph.D.

Desirable Qualification:

  1.  Doctorate Degree in Biomedical Science/Microbiology subject from a recognized
  2. University. Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in HPV
    associated oral, breast and cervix cancers.
  3. Published research papers in the field of cancer biology in Pubmcd indexed journals with
    impact factor of at least 2.0.
  4. Knowledge of Computer Applications and Statistical Methods.

Note:

  1. Ph.D. in relevant subjects shall be treated equivalent to three (03) years experience.
  2. Additional Postdoc research/teaching experience in cancers, molecular biology in a
    recognized Institute will be preferred.

Position 2: Scientist  D (Population Scientist) – One post

Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs.7600 (6th CPC)
Essential Qualification and Experience:

  1. First Class Master’s degree in Population Studies/Social Sciences from a recognised University,
  2. 8 years R&D/Tcaching Experience in relevant subjects including Demographic and Health
    related research project, after First Class Master’s Degree.

OR

  1. 2nd Class M.Sc + Ph.D. degree in Population Studies/Social Sciences from a recognized
    University,
  2. 8 years R&D/Teaching Experience in relevant subjects including Demographic and Health related research project after M.Sc. + Ph.D.

Desirable Qualification:

  1.  Doctorate Degree in Population Studies/Social Sciences from a recognized
    University.
  2. Published research papers in the field of cancer in Pubmed indexed journals with impact
    factor of at least 2.0.
  3. Experience in analysing Oncology associated Demographic and Health survey data and
    experience in project report preparation.
  4. Knowledge of Computer Applications and Statistical Methods.
