Nokia Visiting Professors grants are given to eminent foreign professors to work in Finland, or to deserving Finnish professors working at respected foreign universities.

Duration: The minimum period for the visit is 2 months.

Visitors coming to Finland must be engaged in research work, deliver lectures and collaborate with Finnish companies.

Nokia Scholarship

The Nokia Scholarship is envisioned to encourage efficient, fast-progressing PhD studies and research. These scholarships are awarded to individuals pursuing a PhD degree in information or telecommunications technology or in clearly related supporting scientific disciplines. Scholarship can be granted for PhD studies in a Finnish university or to a Finnish applicant for studies abroad.

Subject areas: Information Technology (IT), Telecommunications Technology

Requirements:

• Applicant must receive an assurance statement from the principal supervisor, who must be a professor, docent, or senior scientist at the university at which the student is pursuing the degree.
• Statement must be submitted to the application database by the supervisor.
• The scholarship can be granted no more than two times to the same individual.
