Institute of Basic Medical Sciences has ONE position as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Nutrition at University of Oslo. The position is available for 3 years.

About the project:

  • The project is headed by Prof. Hilde Nebb
  • Project focuses on the nutritional regulation of nuclear receptors through ligands and post-translational sugar modifications.
  • Postdoc Fellow will work on developing new protocols for studying sugar modifications and their physiological effects.
  • Fellow will have to organize and execute the study, as well as analyze and publish the data.
  • The successful candidate should therefore have a good background in biochemistry and molecular biology as well as experience with animal models.

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Applicant must have a PhD equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in the field of molecular biology, biochemistry or equivalent.
  • Successful candidates must have submitted their doctoral thesis prior to the application closing date.
  • Applicant must have background in molecular nutrition, preferably from the field of nuclear receptors.
  • Applicant must have understanding of molecular biology and cell biology techniques; training in mass spectrometry will be prioritized.
  • Applicant must have an excellent command of English (written and oral).
  • Applicant must be self-driven, highly motivated, and able to collaborate with others to become an integrated part of the research group.

Stipend:

  • Salary ranging from pay grade: 57–62 (NOK 483 700–529 800)
