Ph.D. Fellow: Theoretical Astroparticle Physics
Ph.D. fellow in Theoretical Astroparticle Physics at the Niels Bohr International Academy (NBIA). NBIA invites applications for a Ph.D. position in theoretical astroparticle physics commencing in fall 2019.
Overview:
The NBIA is an independent center of excellence hosted by the Niels Bohr Institute (NBI) and functions as the primary center of fundamental research in the physical sciences and mathematics. The astroparticle physics group at NBI has broad interests at the interface between astrophysics, cosmology, and fundamental physics.
Lab is looking for exceptional candidates with good theoretical foundation who will conduct research in multi-messenger astrophysics with a focus on high-energy neutrino emission and its observation in present and future neutrino telescopes. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong analytical skills, who have previous experience in the modeling of high-energy neutrino sources and/or the statistical analysis of multi-messenger data. A close collaboration with the NBI IceCube group is also expected.
