Pharmaceutical Sciences: PhD position 1868 views

Applications are invited for Ph.D. position in Pharmaceutical sciences at The Laboratory of General Biochemistry and Physical Pharmacy (LGBPP), which is constantly, engaged pre-clinical research in the field of micro-and nanomaterials for biomedical applications. LGBPP is also hosting both the Ghent Research Group on Nanomedicines and the Bio-photonic Imaging Group. GRGN is focused area of research is in designing & evaluating, novel micro-and nanomaterials for drug delivery, therapy and diagnostics and research groups in BPIG are aimed to development of biophotonic process for biomedical use. More accurately, a major focus in the LGBPP is the development of new method to improvise administrating of nucleic acid therapeutics (siRNA, miRNA, mRNA, pDNA).

This group is dedictaed in representing a class of molecules which are not yet in clinical use though under intensive scrutiny for therapeutic applications. Along with working on developing such nanimaterials Besides on the design of such delivery materials (e.g. nanomedicines), this group is also engage to explain their biophysical behavior following delievery, both in appropriate extracellular fluids (e.g. full blood, lung sputa, gastric fluids, intraperitoneal fluids,…) as well as in the intracellular environment.
