The Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry invites applications for PhD and Postdoc positions. The institute is a leading international research facility in the field of biochemistry, cell and structure biology and biomedical research. The positions are available in the Department of Molecular Medicine. The project is funded by ERC for the next six years.

About the positions:

• The successful candidate for this position would take over an ambitious project where reconstituted adhesion complexes are used to understand the earliest molecular events of cell adhesion to integrin substrates.
• Candidate must have experience in:
• Heterologous protein expression und purification
• Characterization of proteins
• Analysis of protein interactions (e.g. surface plasmon resonance, isothermal titration calorimetry, analytical ultracentrifugation, dynamic light scattering)

Duration: both the positions are fixed term for three years with possible extension.
