PhD and postdoc positions at University of Basel: Basel is a city university (oldest university in Switzerland) with international flair (bordering France and Germany). The University of Basel invited application from eligible highly motivated candidates (preferably with background computer science, electrical engineering, physics, numerical analysis) for filling up the PhD and postdoc positions to work on problems between machine learning, physics and imaging at the Department Mathematics and Computer Science. All positions are funded by an ERC Starting Grant Signals, Waves, and Learning-A Data-Driven Paradigm for Wave-Based Inverse Problems (SWING).

About position: Selected candidates will focus on The ERC project addresses the theory of learning for inverse problems together with the cutting-edge applications.

Positions: PhD and postdoc positions

Educational qualifications: Interested candidates must have strong academic record in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, numerical analysis, or related disciplines having good knowledge of Python and C/C++. Candidates with prior research experience, Exposure to one of the popular deep learning frameworks, and interest in signal processing and inverse problems will be preferred.
