The Max Planck Institute for Medical Research and the Department of Biomolecular Mechanisms is inviting applications from talented PhD Students and Postdocs, interested in structural-biological methods, (bio)chemistry, molecular biology and spectroscopic methods/biophysics studies.
Study fields:
- Ladderane lipid biosynthesis in anammox bacteria
- Viral capsid assembly and processing mechanisms and active transport of DNA of virophages.
- Molecular and cellular mechanisms and structures
Requirements:
- Applicants must hold a university degree in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or related field.
- Applicants must possess good English writing and communication skills.
- Applicants must demonstrate an appropriate productivity record as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
- Applicant must be highly motivated, open-minded, and capable of critical and analytical thinking.
