PhD in Computer Science at Mälardalen University: Mälardalen University invited applications from highly motivated researcher who can pursue a dynamic research program for filling up PhD position in Computer Science with-focus-on Industrial Cognitive Systems available at School of Innovation, Design and Engineering, (IDT) to work on the project DIGICOGS – DIGital Twins for Industrial COGnitive Systems through Industry 4.0 and Artificial Intelligence.
About the position: This research will focus on advanced data collection, data analytics, machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), and signal processing, data modeling and simulation environment integration. The aim of the project DIGICOGS is to provide a digital twin that combines sensor information, AI/ML and big data analytics that underpin the new wave of the cognitive system.

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have master degree in Computer Science/ Intelligent Embedded Systems with Knowledge/experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud computing. Candidates must have good verbal and written communication skills in English. Candidates with knowledge of Python, MATLAB, and data analysis platforms such as Hadoop, TensorFlow OR Professional experience in data analytics, especially predictive modelling for Power Transfer Unit through assembly line and/or domain knowledge of Industry 4.0 will be preferred.
