PhD in Epidemiology at University of Basel: Basel is a city university (oldest university in Switzerland) with international flair (bordering France and Germany). The Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH), University of Basel invited application from eligible highly motivated and enthusiastic candidates for filling up PhD position in environmental epidemiology for the project “The effects of airborne pollen on cardiorespiratory health and allergic symptoms” funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation available at Swiss TPH – an institute associated with University of Basel, Basel, Switzerland.
About position: This project’s aim is to better quantify the respiratory, cardiovascular and pre-clinical health effects of airborne pollen and their burden on public health. This research will contribute to a better personalized forecasting of allergic symptoms and improve quality of life for the allergic population.

Duration: 4 years
Educational qualifications: Interested candidates must have a Postgraduate Degree in epidemiology, public health, health sciences, medicine or a similar field with Knowledge on quantitative analysis skills, Good programming and analytical skills. Excellent command of German (must) and English (speaking and writing) for research and ability to work in a team is must.
