Tasks Involved

  1. Use scattering techniques, primarily diffuse and inelastic neutron scattering, to experimentally investigate correlated structural and magnetic disorder and spin and lattice dynamics in known and new fluoride pyrochlores
  2. Develop numerical models of our observations
  3. Collaborate with theoreticians (modelling) and chemists (materials discovery and characterization)
  4. Publish results in scientific journals and present findings at scientific meetings

Qualifications / Requirements

  1. Master degree in physics, chemistry, or materials science
  2. Knowledge of neutron/X-Ray scattering and/or numerical simulation of magnetism and/or lattice dynamics is preferred
  3. High level of proficiency in numerical data analysis and/or computer simulation
  4. Able to work independently in a collaborative and interdisciplinary research team
  5. Willing to regularly travel internationally
  6. Good communication skills in English
