The Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing invites applications for a PhD Position in Biology of Ageing. Applicant must be talented, dynamic, highly motivated young scientist to join the department for Biological Mechanisms of Ageing. The department is headed by Director Prof. Linda Partridge.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must have background in cell culture and/or CRISPR/Cas9.
- Applicant must hold a master’s degree/diploma in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related field.
- Applicant must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- The working language is English; knowledge of the German language is not required.
- Applicant must have some experience in one of the following methodologies: cell culture (if possible induced pluripotent stem cells), CRISPR/Cas9 is an advantage.
Starting date: available from the earliest time point
Duration: 3 year contract
