PhD Position: DFG-funded; Numerical Quantum Chemistry 923 views

Georg-August-Universität Göttingen is inviting applications for a PhD Position in the group of Prof. Dr. Martin Suhm at the Faculty of Chemistry. The position is available in the German Research Foundation (DFG)-funded Research Training Group 2455 “BENCh – Benchmark Experiments for Numerical Quantum Chemistry”.

Duration: limited contract of 3 years

Starting date: 01.05.2019

Requirements:
  • Applicant must hold (or are in the process of concluding) a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Physics;
  • Applicant must be proficient in English;
  • Applicant must be willing to travel and to collaborate with theory and experiment partners;
  • Applicant must possess experience in vibrational spectroscopy;
  • Applicant must be familiar with the concepts of supersonic jet and matrix isolation techniques.
