PhD Position: Heterogeneous chemistry of liquid-vapor interfaces 1595 views

The PhD Position is available in the newly established International Max Planck Research School for Elementary Processes in Physical Chemistry (IMPRS-EPPC). Liquid-vapor interfaces govern many important processes in the atmosphere and environment and are still much less understood than solid interfaces. The successful candidate will be part of our small team of postdoctoral scholars and engineers and work in close collaboration with our partner groups here at the FHI, at BESSY and at other synchrotron sources in Europe.

Qualifications:
  • Applicant must hold MSc. in Chemistry, Physics or a closely related field
  • Self-motivated work style with attention to detail and the ability for team work in an international research environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Experience in surface physical chemistry, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and/or infrared spectroscopy is beneficial
