PhD position in Cancer Genomics at University of Basel: Basel is a city university (oldest university in Switzerland) with international flair (bordering France and Germany). The University of Basel invited application from eligible highly motivated and enthusiastic PhD student interested in working on the generation of engineered patches for cardiac tissue repair for filling up PhD Position in Cancer Genomics/ Bioinformatic.
About position: Selected candidates will apply and optimize cutting-edge bioinformatics methods, in particular those for massively parallel sequencing and artificial intelligence, to further understanding of cancer biology. The main focus of the laboratory is the use a combination of multi-omics approaches and in silico prediction (e.g. artificial Intelligence) to identify and characterize prognostic and/ or predictive biomarkers, and to understand the important genetic alterations and their interaction that contribute to the development of cancer.

Educational qualifications: Interested candidates must have a master’s degree in MSc in computer science, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computational biology or related discipline with strong oral and written communications skills in English, Good programming skills.
