PhD position in Experimental Physics at Empa: The Laboratory for Nanoscale Material Science is offering application from eligible candidates for filling up the PhD position in Experimental Physics related to the design and the development of Magnetic Thin Film Nanoparticles for Biomedical Applications in the Empa laboratories in Dübendorf and in St. Gallen with excellent infrastructure to fabricate and characterize properties of magnetic thin films systems and particle-bio-systems interactio. Empa is the research institute for materials science and technology of the ETH Domain and conducts cutting-edge research for the benefit of industry and the well-being of society.
Position: Ph.D position
Fellowship: As per norms.
Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have Post Graduate Degree in Experimental Physics/Chemistry/Biomedical Engineering/ related fields with a high motivation to work in an interdisciplinary project. Candidates must have Excellent communication skills and good verbal and written knowledge in English.
Desirable: Candidates with strong understanding in thin film magnetism, microfabrication, particle functionalization and particle-bio-system interaction will be preferred.
