PhD Position Thin-film Physics of XUV Optics at The University of Twente : The University of Twente invited application from eligible creative, like to push boundaries, and are highly motivated candidates for filling up the PhD position duration of 4years to develop the key material science required for XUV optical systems based on nanoscale-thin films.
About the Project: The aim is to explore thin film phenomena in detail and to advance the LEIS analysis. Low Energy Ion Scattering (LEIS) is a surface analysis technique that represents a very powerful tool for compositional characterization of surfaces and interfaces of thin films.
Position: PhD Studentship
Fellowship: € 2.325 in the first year and increases to € 2.972 in the fourth year
Duration: 4 years
Location for Studentship: Enschede
Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have Masters degree in solid state or surface physics, materials science, optics, or a related field and have experience with data analysis in Matlab or Pytho. Candidates must be fluent in English and able to collaborate intensively with industrial and academic parties in regular meetings and work visits
