The School of Innovation, Design and Engineering at Mälardalen University invites applications for a PhD position in Computer Science–Design and analysis of time-sensitive networks.

About the Position:
  • The KKS-funded project “FIESTA-Federated Choreography of an Integrated Embedded Systems Software Architecture” is announcing a PhD student position in design and analysis of time-sensitive networks for industrial systems.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates who are or have been admitted to third-cycle courses and study programmes at a higher education may be appointed to doctoral studentships are eligible to apply.
  • Candidate should have a master’s level degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Prior knowledge about embedded systems, real-time systems, real-time networks, and modeling and timing analysis of these systems is considered a merit.
  • Additional knowledge in applied mathematics and development of switched Ethernet-based systems is also considered as merit.
  • Candidate must have strong motivation for research, good verbal and written communication skills in English.
