The Economics Department at the University of Bern (Microeconomics, Prof. Dr. Marc Möller) seeks to fill the position of a PhD-Student in Microeconomics. The focus of the position is research in the area of theoretical Microeconomics. The successful candidate should have knowledge of Game Theory and be interested in its application to issues in Industrial or Organizational Economics. Besides the development of your own research topic you are required to contribute to the teaching of the Department.

Requirements:

  • The position requires a Master degree in Economics (VWL) or Mathematics/Physics/Computer Science (with a minimum of 60 ECTS in VWL).
  • Proficiency in English and strong analytical skills are a must.
  • Applications are welcome from students who are close to finishing their degree. The Department aims to increase the proportion of female researchers and explicitly encourages qualified women to apply.

Starting date: 1 September 2021
