PhD (Via Mphil) Studentship: Synthetic Medicinal Chemistry 859 views

University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) and the School of Physical Sciences and Computing are inviting applications for a full time PhD (via MPhil) studentship.

Study areas: Synthetic Medicinal Chemistry

Duration: up to 3 years; full-time

Value: cost of tuition fees at UK/EU rates with an annual stipend of £10,000 (International applicants are required to pay the difference between UK/EU and international tuition fees).

Starting date: 1 July 2018

Interview date: 22 May 2018 (Proposed date)

Project Title: Photoactive self – disinfection bandages towards next generation infection control.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must hold or expected to hold a UK MSC/MChem degree (or equivalent qualification/discipline) with a 2:1 grade (or above) for the final year laboratory based dissertation preferentially within the area of organic synthesis or medicinal chemistry.
  • Applicants from EU and International applicants are required to have an English Language level of UKVI IELTs 6.5 (no sub-score below 6.0) or equivalent qualification.
