The successful applicant will work with Dr Alex Dickson on a new NERC-funded project to decipher the rhenium isotopic composition of igneous rocks and hydrothermal fluids, and the processes controlling isotopic fractionation in these materials.
- Applications are invited for a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Earth Sciences.
- The project is in partnership with the University of Durham and aims to piece together the isotopic fingerprint of rhenium cycling in Earth’s surficial environments.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should have a PhD in Earth Sciences or a related subject, experience working in clean-laboratory conditions and making isotopic measurements.
- The applicant will have the opportunity to participate in fieldwork campaigns to Iceland and the European Alps to supplement sample material already held by the project team at Royal Holloway and Durham.
