Max Planck Institute for the Biology of Ageing is seeking a full time Post-doctoral Research Fellow (m/f) in Department for Molecular Genetics of Ageing headed by Director Prof. Dr. Adam Antebi. The job code is 15-2016.
The department applies a multidisciplinary approach combining, genetics, systems biology, cell and molecular biology, imaging, biochemistry and mass spectrometry in order to understand the biology of ageing and age-related disease.
Institute requires a highly inspired, determined, and talented scientist to join a passionate and collaborative team in an outstanding scientific environment to perform research of longevity mechanisms in the worm as a model system.
Qualifications:
- Applicant must hold Doctorate in a relevant research area of biology, molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry or chemistry
- Applicant must have a strong track record of achievements.
- Applicants with prior experience with genetic model organisms would be most welcome.
- Applicant must also have a keen interest in the biology of ageing
- Applicant must possess excellent communication skills (written and oral).
- The working language is English; knowledge of the German language is not required.
