OVERVIEW:
The Pennsylvania State University, the Altoona College seeks outstanding applicants for a tenure track position in Chemistry at the Assistant Professor level starting Fall 2021.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Teaching responsibilities include introductory courses for science, engineering, and non-science majors, and upper division lecture/laboratory courses in the candidate’s area of specialty. Research with undergraduates is expected and supported. While qualified applicants in all areas will be considered, applicants in Environmental Chemistry (either experimental or theoretical) are particularly encouraged to apply in support of our BS in Environmental Studies program
ELEGIBILITY CRITRIA:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely-related field, a strong interest in undergraduate instruction, and a demonstrated ability to develop an effective research program. Postdoctoral experience is preferred.
