Department of Inorganic Spectroscopy is presently looking for candidate for a Postdoctoral candidate with a PhD degree in Chemistry.
Position Overview
The position is available in the Spectroelectro-chemistry group in the department of Inorganic Spectroscopy. The selected candidate will work in the study of molecular electro(bio)catalytic systems using insitu/ operando spectroelectrochemistry.
Time line: The position is available starting in October 2018. The post-doc will work initially on a one-year-contract.
Major tasks Involved
- To prepare and study molecular (bio) catalysts in-situ or under operando conditions.
- Utilization of a combination of electrochemistry with EPR and X-ray spectroscopic techniques, using both in-house as well as synchrotron based spectrometers.
- The researcher should be prepared to work in a highly collaborative environment. The working language is English.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Applicants should hold a PhD in Chemistry
- Have very good communication skills in English.
- Good synthetic background is required, with experience in organometallic and/or polymer synthesis as well as inorganic spectroscopy knowledge.
- Highly motivated researchers of any nationality with an excellent scientific background
