Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and The Center for BioProcess Engineering (BioEng) invites applications for a Postdoc position in Experimental Molecular Biotechnology for Algae-based Higher Value Products. BioEng is a research center at the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. The position is part of the Macro Cascade project funded by Bio-based Industries Research and Innovation action BBI-RIA.
Qualifications:
- Applicant must hold PhD degree or equivalent.
- Applicant needs to have a broad background in experimental molecular biotechnology (eukaryotes and prokaryotes; DNA, RNA, Enzymes); preferably combined with experience in analysis of substrate composition (sugar polymers and proteins) for microbial/enzymatic conversion of new types of biomass (macroalgae and/or plants).
Duration: The period of employment is 2 years, commencing March 1st 2017, or soon thereafter. The post doc will start in month 6 of the Macro Cascade project.
