Postdoc Fellow Position in Genomics at UoM: The University of Melbourne Centre for Cancer Research (UMCCR) invited applications from highly motivated researcher for filling up the position of Postdoc Fellow in Genomics available at Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, Melbourne Medical School, University of Melbourne (UoM) to improve cancer patient outcomes through Cancer Genome Discovery, Translation and Personalised Medicine. This position reports to the leader of the UMCCR’s Precision Oncology Laboratory and will be located in the Department of Clinical Pathology, a Department within the UMCCR.

About the position: Selected candidates will join rapid genome/transcriptome sequencing activities and develop new approaches to patient profiling. This reasearch involves close collaboration with the UMCCR Clinical Genomics Platform and industry collaborators.

Position: Postdoc Fellow

Salary: $72,083 – $97,812 (Level A)

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD degree in relevant area such as genomics, molecular biology, genetics or biochemistry and ability to contribute to independent and team based research in Genomics with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and must have in-depth knowledge of the principles and practice of DNA and RNA sequencing. Candidates having          Prior experience in the analysis of whole genome DNA sequence, RNA sequencing and/or DNA methylation data , experience in circulating tumour DNA profiling will be preferred.
