Candidate must be a protein biochemist with proven experience in recombinant protein expression, purification, and structure-function analysis. This position is open immediately and initially funded for two years.

Role and responsibilities:
  • The work will focus on the characterization of new protein families with presumed immunological functions in lampreys, the most primitive vertebrate species possessing an adaptive immune system.

  • The selected candidate will have access to the core facilities of the institute, including an excellent proteomics facility.
  • The postdoc is expected to have extensive experience in cloning, protein expression, protein purification, and characterization of protein complexes using a variety of biophysical methods (for example: ITC, AUC, DLS).
