Postdoc in Bioengineering at Miami University: The Jones research group at Miami University in Oxford invites online applications from eligible bright candidates those are interested in research field for filling up the Postdoc position in Biochemical Engineering available at Chemical, Paper & Biomedical Engineering to conduct industrial biotechnology research in the areas of metabolic engineering and synthetic biology.

About the position: Selected candidates will play a key role on a project to enhance the production of bioactive small molecules from a variety of microbial hosts. In this research a widespread range of technologies will be used to progress improved strains and processes as transcriptional and translational pathway optimization, fed-batch bioreactor optimization, media optimization and conventional metabolic engineering.

Educational qualifications: Interested candidates should have PhD Degree in biology, biochemistry, biophysics, bioengineering, chemical engineering with experience in microbial fermentation and familiarity with a range of molecular cloning techniques. Candidates must have strong organizational capability and experience with data analysis and presentation.

Desirable: Candidates with Experience with lab-scale bioreactors, metabolite analysis by HPLC and LCMS, chromosomal integration in bacteria, and yeast genetics will be preferred.
