Postdoc position is available under the supervision of Dr. Aiko Sada in the lab of Dr. Hiromi Yanagisawa at TARA center, University of Tsukuba, Japan to work on stem cell aging project.

Overview

The project will aims on understanding the cellular and molecular basis of stem cell aging in skin with implications for future treatments of age-related disorders. The postdoc fellow will perform laboratory experiments, including generating mouse mutants, stem cell isolation, RNA sequencing, cell culture and lineage tracing, and write manuscripts.

This project is funded by AMED (Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development) from 2018/10/1 until 2022/3/31.

Require qualifications:

  1. A Ph.D or M.D./Ph.D (or equivalent) in biology or related field.
  2. Applicants with a background in stem cells, dermatology or developmental biology, aging are particularly encouraged to apply.
  3. Prior experience with laboratory mice is preferred.
  4. Applicants should be enthusiastic scientists, self-motivated, and independent thinkers.
