Postdoc in Cell Biology at SLU: The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) develops the understanding and sustainable use and management of biological natural resources. The Department of Forest Genetics and Plant Physiology, SLU invited application for filling up the following 1 year Researcher position in plant cell biology. The department forms, together with the Department of Plant Physiology, Umeå University, Umeå Plant Science Centre.
About the Positions: This research is on plant cell biology, especially in relation to defence mechanisms in the root against pathogen attacks. Selected candidates will work in close collaboration with researchers within UPSC and participate in research collaborations, e.g. within the UPSC Competence Centre for Forest Biotechnology.

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD degree in plant molecular biology, cell biology or equivalent subject area with Good ability to communicate in written and spoken English, experience of research environments or a PhD degree from another university. Candidates with scientific skills in the areas of cell biology and root development, communicative ability, as well as documented ability to attract external research funding will be preferred.
