The Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Faculty of Natural Sciences (NV) at Norwegian University for Science and Technology (NTNU) invites applications for a postdoc position in Materials Science and Engineering (Battery Technology).

About the position:
  • Postdoc will in addition to his/her research activity have a central role in the NTNU Battery initiative coordinating the battery research activities between NV/NTNU and the strategic research area NTNU Energy at NTNU.
  • Postdoc position in battery technology is focused on development of functional materials and understanding of electrochemical and degradation phenomena for Li ion batteries. Extensive state-of-the-art infrastructure for materials and battery development and testing is established at the Department.
  • The successful candidate is expected to develop a research profile in close collaboration with the present battery activities at the Department.

Qualification:

  • Applicants must hold a PhD in Materials Chemistry, Materials Science and Technology, Electrochemistry or similar.
  • Candidates with documented expertise in development of functional materials for battery technology as well as electrochemical and degradation studies of batteries are desired.
  • Experience in in-situ characterization techniques is considered an advantage.
  • Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Candidates must provide evidence of the ability to publish scientific papers.
