Postdoc in Microfluidic Sensors at The University of Southampton: The University of Southampton is an institution top most in the world and is one of the UK’s top 15 research-intensive universities. University of Southampton invited applications from eligible candidates for filling up Research Fellow position in Microfluidic Sensors.
About the programme –Selected candidates will develop new sensor technology for monitoring soil chemistry, building on our recent work developing cutting-edge sensors for water and medical applications based on droplet microfluidic. This programme’s aims to tackle the grand challenge of decoding nitrogen dynamics in soil through development of novel wireless nitrogen sensing technology, field testing, and data-driven modelling of rhizosphere nitrogen dynamics.
Position: Postdoc position
Salary: £30,942 per annum
Location for position: Highfield Campus
Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD degree (or in process) and experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Environmental Science or relevant subject area along with good communication skills. Candidates having Proficiency in microfluidics, lab-on-a-chip, optical detection, electrical or mechanical platform build-up will be preferred.
