Postdoc in Neural Modelling at UoM: Melbourne School of Engineering, University of Melbourne (UoM) is leading Australian provider of engineering and IT education and research. Melbourne School of Engineering, University of Melbourne (UoM) invited applications from highly motivated researcher who can pursue a dynamic research program for filling up Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Neural Modelling available at School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering to undertake a project aiming to develop mathematical frameworks bridging different scales of brain activities to provide a new tool for understanding the brain.

About the position: This research will deliver a framework to enable the creation of subject-specific neural circuit diagrams. The activities of microscopic neurons will be linked to macroscopic brain behaviour. Result will impact on the treatment of neurological conditions in the future through greater understanding of diseases, improved diagnostics, and subsequent treatments.

Position: Postdoc, Level A

Salary: $72,083 – $97,812 (Level A)

Educational qualifications: Interested and eligible candidates must have PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Applied Mathematics with strong neuroscientific, mathematical, and/or computational skills and experience in MATLAB, Python and/or C++. Candidates having Experience with ChIP-seq, including data analysis will be preferred.
